UK Living Tips needed !

I am planning to land up in UK, somewhere in 2nd week of March, from Mumbai.

I am looking for someone, who is willing to fly on that same date, and also it will be great, if we can rent the same house in UK.

Also, I wish to know, how do i get the SIM card and Mobile as soon as I land up. Is it available at Airport? Few tips about it will be appreciated.

I wish to stay at a place away from the heart of the city for the sake of reducing expense, but at the same time easy to commute. If you have any thoughts about it, pls let me know.

Yeah so can I but the easiest thing for him to do, would be just to go to any shop on the high street instead of trying to arrange something.
And gumtree is ok but has lots of scams so beware.
