Life in the uk test

Post by bsugulu » Sat Oct 04, 2025 9:55 pm

Hi all, not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum but please advise.

I have parkinson's, been on meds for over 5 Yrs. Am told this can exempt me from doing this test as its required for the citizenship application.

Do I get this cleared with the H/O first before I send in my application?

Could someone please enlighten me on how this works and whether all such cases get exempted.
Thank you

What about the English test?

You need to get a GMC medical practitioner to fill in a form and submit it with your naturalisation application.

Formlink:

Whilst your query comes up here from time to time we can't comment on whether it's routinely approved. I don't recall feedback as to success or otherwise.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks for this info.

I've done the English test earlier before my diagnosis.

I'll update on outcome
Thanks
