Hi All,

I recently updated my given name and surname in my British passport following my marriage. As part of the passport update process, I used an unenrolled deed poll.

I am now planning to update the given name and surname on my OCI so that they match my British passport.

Could you please advise which documents are required for an OCI name and surname update? Specifically:

Is an enrolled deed poll required, or would a notarized affidavit be sufficient?
Can my marriage certificate alone be used as supporting evidence?
If a notarized affidavit is required, could you please provide the required format or a sample?
