psw refusal due to submission of online statement, 3rd month

Post by samdav7 » Mon Mar 02, 2009 7:40 am

I came to UK on the 02.10.08 to do my masters degree in healthcare. I completed my degree successfully on november and I had applied for post study work visa (tier1) on 12.01.09, my visa expired on 31.01.09. I had received a letter from the home office stating my application was refused due to inadequate/less valid documents(bank statement document). I had taken printout of bank statement online and had sent. But the home office has explained that the online statements were not stamped by the bank or covering letter was enclosed. I however, have scored all the points requirements to qualify. I was sent the AR - 1 form and is allowed to appeal within 10 business days. I need your opinion in this and need to know if I will be able to win the appeal.

You shouldn't have done that. You should have followed whatever asked in the PSW form.

Anyhow, you must appeal against it within 10days and in the meantime get all the required documents and there is no doubt you will win the appeal

Can anyone let me know as to what happens after the appeal; after sending the AIT-1 form? how long does it generally takes for the home office to ask for the passport?

I don't think you need a solicitor. solicitor will cost you £1k. You case is straight forward. post everything that they have asked for with the appeal form. With a day or two you will get a appeal date, normally it is after 4 weeks.
