TIER 1 - after being a student for 5 years...

Post by Aktam » Wed Mar 04, 2009 4:02 am

Hi everybody,

i'm going to send my application for TIER 1 this month, but have a couple of questions. If any of more experienced member of this forum could answer them it would be a BIG help.

1st) i was a student in the UK for 5.5 years, as came originally with no English at all, last month I passed IELTS and got 8.0 (academic), so i'm going to show my previous earning for the year 2002 because that was the last time when i actually worked. So will it create a problem that i worked 6 years ago? i have all certificates from the colleges where i studied for the last 5 years.

2nd) During those 5 years once i was outside the UK for about 5months due to serious medical conditions of my Mum. So i don't have any college letter for that period, What should i do in this case?

3rd) as i'm going to send my appplication before 1st Apr (changes - i have BA degree) i can only show two months of statements from Barclays as my maintenance fund. Can i show statements from my home country where i have a savings account as well and statements cover 4 months?

Thank you for your help...
