Hi all,
My boyfriend is planning on moving to the UK in April/May time and we were going to apply using the settlement form VAF4. It was all filled out and ready to go but on checking the guidance notes on the ukvisa.gov.uk website they appear to of completely removed this form and now have the form VAF4a. I just want to make sure before we start filling out this new form that is actually the correct one.
We're not currently in a civil partnership but will be entering into one when he arrives here and were going to apply for the proposed civil partner visa. Is the VAF4a form the correct way to do this? I see it has a section about fiance/proposed civil partner so I'm guessing that this was added in the most recent edition (Dec 2008).
Also just got a quick question about finances. I saw a figure of needing 94.50 pounds/week after paying bills/rent/loans etc as sufficient to support your proposed partner, is this stil relevent? Also would being in an overdraft of my current account count against our application? After bills etc I'm left with about 190 pounds/week. My boyfriend would be looking to gain employment as soon as we enter into a civil partnership so he wouldn't be dependent on me financially for too long.
Any help greatly appreciated!!
