FLR for HSMP owners

Post by uckocak » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:58 am

Hi,

As you all know, previously HSMP was being issued for 2 years, then the extension was for 3 years, to allow people apply for ILR.

Under current rules, Tier 1 first issued for 3 years and extension is for 2 years.

If an HSMP owner applies for extension, he'll get 2 years extension under current rules, which makes 4 years in UK. How do you think we'll be able to apply for ILR?

Thanks, Utkan

I think while migrating from HSMP to Tier 1, you are granted 3 years extension. I have known few colleagues who got extension from HSMP -? Tier 1 and got extended for 3 years.

Otherwise, apply for extension again :)

Chetanojha is right, current HSMP holders of initial 2 years visa get 3 years when extending under tier 1.
