Own limited company payslips

Post by xpscapable » Mon Mar 30, 2009 3:30 pm

Hi,

I operate with my own limited company. So with the payslips how do I stamp & sign? Do I get my accountant to stamp & sign this? Because of course I can sign this on my own but I don't have stamp and also how is it possible if I sign my own payslips?

If your payroll is administered by yourself for your company:
You can print-out the payslips on your company letter-head, then you don't need to get a stamp or signature.
If you are printing your pay slips on a non-headed paper, you would have to get yourself (or any other officer of your company e.g. your spouse/Partner) to sign and stamp (you will have to get a company stamp for that). You as an officer (Director) of company can sign your own pay slip, but in this case I will also send additional company documents (bank statements to prove the salary has been paid from company's business account to personal bank account)

If your payroll is administered by your accountant:
In addition to payslips, get a letter from your accountant saying they are managing your pay roll, and also get a letter certifying your overall earnings(including dividend) that should corroborate with your bank statements.

So I need to purchase a stamp that has my company name on it?

That's really odd isn't it? To certify my own documentation.

Yes and no.
Yes because that is an attestation of its authenticity
No because the HO probably wouldn't be so persuaded with just a stamped letter from you certifying yourself and other independent proof would be more probative

This is going to be a bit of a mess.

So I need:

A) Payslips which *I* stamp & certify
B) Bank statement to proof (A)
C) Accountant letter to proof (A) & (B)

Does that sound right? Anyone else has my issue? Surely there are lots of you that have your own limited company like me.
