tier 1 general cover letter doubts

i will be applying for tier 1 initial appilication from outside uk soon. i qualified on the basis of my employment in the uk as a student dependant. as it is well known there is no restriction on work for student dependant and there was nothing mentioned in my visa regarding any restriction.
my doubt is whether i need to mention in my cover letter that i worked as a student dependant and there was no restriction on work

Adding a line saying you worked between xxxx and xxx period while in UK on student dependent VISA is fine. Though it does not add ay weight to your application. HO would already have information on your status when you were in UK.
