Family maintenance funds - but where !!

Post by msk32asu » Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:49 am

Hi,

Will appreciate any help on this one, I've got a job here in UK, but most of my savings are in my home country where my family is.

Now my questions is that: when applying for visa for my children and wife, is it possible to show a 3 month Bank Statement from a bank in my home country and not a UK bank statement? Is it compulsory requirement to show a UK bank statement with 1600 pounds per dependent I am applying for?

Will be grateful for your replies. Especially someone who has used bank statement from home country before.

Best Regards
Sameer

You can show bank statement of your home country. All HO want to see is the funds available in your account. You can also combine two account e.g. yours and your wife's if required to prove it.
