My husband is making an application for FLR(M), we need to know how much savings we are expected to have in our bank account

You don't have to show savings...just that you are able to support yourselves financially. The preference is for regular income.

I am self employed (I am the main income earner), atlthough my husband does work, but his pay isn't great. Should I therefore show my business bank account details as well to prove earnings.

I would submit your business bank account statements and a copy of your last year's tax self-assessment.
