Fiance visa ---- arriving at airport

Hi

my fiance is a US citizen, i am a UK citizen. She is applying for a fiance visa in America. From what i have read, I seem to fill the criteria. I have just moved out of shared accomodation into a one bedroom flat, I am in full time employment, do not claim any benefits. I don't earn a lot, but its a full time job. I have around £3000 in the bank etc etc. Is this acceptable? It is a genuine relationship, lots of proof, have met etc.

Also, does anyone know the procedure when she lands at the airport in the UK? Do the immigration officers give the fiance a real hard time? With all the correct paperwork etc, do we have anything to be worried about? It worries the hell out of us that our futures could be in the hands of one individual!

A hard time when arriving at the airport? No. The real tests come in getting the fiancé visa, but even there, if all the right documentary evidence has been provided, even that will not be a problem.

Don't skimp on the evidence your fiancé provides in order to get his visa.

Don't forget that the holder of a fiancé visa is not allowed to work in the UK. So your own finances must be sufficient to support the two of you.

As you no doubt already realise, the evidence provided needs to cover financial aspects, accommodation and also "evidence of contact", to prove that the relationship is real, and not a sham.

Go for it! Good luck .... but then luck does not come into it ... if all the required evidence has been produced.
