Need Help tier1 general apply and IGS getting Expire

Need Help tier1 general apply and IGS getting Expire

Hi
I apllied for Tier 1- general on self-employed basis on 27 mar 2009 .but i got reply on 12th may that i need to fill the new form which is valid after 6th april 2009 .Although that application form wasn't available on UKba site at the time when i submitted my application for Tier 1- general.I send the from back with out filling new form and attached cover letter to rectify the mistake.Now my current Visa IGS going to expire next month and my Passport is in Home office.and i want to apply for extension of IGS before my visa expire ,In case they refused to gave me Tier 1-general.Will i be able to apply for extension even i got my passport after visa expire.
