Discrimination of SriLankans by Indian High Commission

Post by eliasuk4u » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:05 am

I applied for Indian Visa for my Wife who is British of Indian Origin. She usually get 6months multiple entry visa to India as her parents are Indian born but since she married me the Indian high commission in London is issuing her only 3months, single entry visa only. When I raised this issue with VFS in London, the guy over the counter said because she is married to Sri Lankan she will only get 3months despite her Indian background. I found it clearly being dearly beloved and discreminating. I said so what if she is married to Sri Lankan. the guy said its Indian high commissions policy which is not metioned anywhere on its website. I asked, how many months visa as a Sri Lankan would I get, the answer was 2months single just because I am a sri lankan.
My question, Is there any where I could go and complain about this discrimination of Sri Lankans?
Anybody out there had similar experience? Please share.
