Income Tx-Filing engh or do i hve to pay b4 aplyin for tier1

Post by jarquin » Mon Jun 15, 2009 1:23 pm

hi all,

am freelance self employed and part time employed.
i recently filed income tax on my earnings from self employment.

i now know the amount i have to pay in income tax, but this payment in not due before January 2010.
i am applying for Tier1 soon.

so do i need to pay this tax and then apply for my visa?
or is the online tax return print out along with a letter from my account enough?

i believe home office have access to tax records of individual and if provided with a reference number from my filing they can cross check with inland revenue. is that correct?

documents i would be attaching:
-Bank Statements from April 2008-April 2009
-Salary Slip for employment from April 2008-April 2009
-P60 received for employed work
-Invoices generated for my Freelance work
-Income Tax filing printouts as mentioned above
-Letter from Accountant confirming my income from employed and self employed sources and confirming the Income Tax I would be paying
- Letters from my two major self-employment clients

thanks for your help.
