HSMP Visa extension

Hi Guys,

I am currently on HSMP visa.

Initial HSMP approval Details:
26 June 07
26 June 09

I am working full time but my earning was not enough so started working as self employment to meet the £35,999.99 PA earning band to get my HSMP extension. my total earnings from full time employment and self-employment combined are around £36500.00 PA.

I have applied for extension on 3rd June 09. Its been more than 7 weeks and i have not heard anything from home office about my application. I spoke to one visa consultant and he told me that there are chances that they might reject my application.

I am wondering what are my chances now? My visa already expired on 26th June 09

1. can appeal against it?
2. can i apply for Transitional arrangements? if yes, what is the procedure?

call to home office and find the status of your application then we can advise you what to do !

tell more abt ur application. DO u submit all the evidences ? check from your employer that HO may have contacted them etc.

Why do you think your application will be rejected??

if you have provided all the proper documentation i would suggest to wait..

in my case it took 7 weeks for the outcome even my application was under JR. I had to send UT request..

Worrying about it will not help you.Why do you think your application will truned down? Have you not submitted all documents? Did you calculated your points?
If you score enough points(even with 36K salary) and submitted all required documents, I don't see any reason why your application will be turned down.
Taking longer time for outcome doesn't mean something is wrong.My application took 6 weeks and 9 days with Royal Mail. In case of negative outcome, you will be given chance to challenge the decision given your current visa had expired.

Also provide some more details of the documents you have submited and points you scored.

How have u shown ur self employment details , is it certified by some accountant ?
