HELP CRIMINAL RECORD

Hi,

I will be applying for a sponsorship visa which I hope my boyfriend can come on. I have a job as a nurse in Sydney but the problems is, will my boyfriend get in if he has a crimincal record? His last offence was in 2006 for breach of the peace and assult. He has 5 other previous of similar charges between 1997 and 2001. He has never been given a sentence.
How far back do the immigration board check? :?: Any advice will help

It can delay the process, they will certainly come to know that ur boyfriend has a criminal record because on police clearance certificate it is mentioned no matter when these incidents happened, they'll appear on his police report for sure.
Usually case workers see the nature of crime, if it is minor then there r chances that he can get immigration. that depend on case worker and ur boyfriend's luck.
