Eligibility for UK Citizenship

Hi,

I've one question, it would be appreciated if someone could answer. My scenario is:

My husband had Work Permit and now he has Tier1 visa. He has completed 5 years in the UK and now he is eligible for ILR.

Initially I was my husband's dependent in 2004 and later in early 2006 I have moved to my own HSMP.

I learnt from this forum and confirm by UK homeoffice that To apply my ILR alongwith my husband, I have to be his dependent and I have to go to my home country for entry clearance. As soon as I will be dependent I am eligible for ILR and can apply along with my husband.

My question is if I will apply for dependent visa NOW, will I be eligible for Citizenship along with my husband after a year OR I need to wait for certain years to get UK Citizenship? - Is there any strict rule about number of years of dependent visa needs to be eligible for citizenship?

If you get ILR at the same time as your husband then you will be eligible for naturalisation (as per the current rules) once you have held ILR for one year and have been lawfully present in the UK for the previous five years. The fact that you were on a dependent visa for part of the five years is irrelevant to a nuaturalisation application

I have one more question if I will go to my home country for applying dependent visa and get entry clearance, is it necessary my husband needs to be with me? Do I need to present my husband's original passport or latest print copy should work?
