Change to Visitor Visa

Hi,

I am currently a Fresh Talent Work permit holder(FTI) and my FTI ends this october. Can i switch to 'visitor visa' in the UK instead of returning to my home country(malaysia) to apply for the visa and fly back to UK for my holidays? I would like to travel around UK but without the hassle of course. Can anyone please advise?
