Maintenance statement within 1 calendar month of application

Post by damian100 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:43 pm

Hi there,

I submitted a tier one visa extension on the 3rd July 2009.
In this application I included bank statements up to the 24 June 2009.

Yesterday I received an email from the home office stating that I need to submit the missing bank statement from 24 June 2009 up to the date of my application on 02 July 2009.

However looking at the Tier 1 general guidance it states -
204. Only the following specified documents will be accepted as evidence of this requirement: Personal bank or building society i) statements covering three full consecutive months: The most recent statement must be dated no more than one calendar month before the date of application.

I submitted bank statements ending on the 24 June 2009. Isn’t this clearly within one month of 3rd July 2009? Or am I missing something?
What should I do?

You have submitted the statements correctly. I would say, send the statements as asked by HO along with cover letter explaining the fact that you have submitted the correct statments dated X to Y for maintenance funds, which was in-line with guidance notes.
You will not want to be in a situation where your application is turned down (even if by mistake).

Agreed, pls follow as adviced by Chetan... not to take any risk of rejection;
