Letter from Employer - How many days before ILR

Dear All,
While applying for ILR on 4 year WP category, I know, we need to get the letter from employer mentioning that the empoyment will be continued for forcieable feature.
I would like to know how many days before that letter can be obtained from the employer. Is there any time frame like the letter should be dated just one week before the ILR Due or something like that?

I don't think there is any guidance, but the closer, the better I would have thought. Mine was dated exactly one week before my interview date (even though it was prepared two weeks before that)

Anectodal evidence indicates no earlier than 1 month prior to ILR application date. I believe this to be in line with many employers giving/ requiring 1 month notice for a termination of employment.
