Post by pieterkley83 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:17 am

HI.

Could someone please shed some light on whether it is possible to apply for shared ownership scheme, in order to buy equity in a house.

I have read that I would need ILR.

There are no requirements that you have to have ILR in order to qualify.

Also see this. Although i will not be surprise if some Local Authorities adopt such measures.

It is mortgage applications that usually attract, requirement of evidence of Resident Status in the UK.
