ILR Success Birmingham PEO WP + Tier 1 ( With dependent )

Post by ash20 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 7:25 am

First of all many thanks to all of the members for their contribution. Special thanks to Global Gypsy for giving absence tips
====================================
My VISAS
From SEP 2004 to Mar 2008 -- WP [ 3 employers ]
APR 2008 to till date -- TIER 1
====================================
Here it goes , My Appointment was on 11:45 since i was travelling from far so i reached near about 10 .It was too early but thought traffic might cause problem so better early. Parked cat at John Lewis car park ( Next to PEO) We grabbed coffee from high street then we went to PEO at 11:00 . Once security check was done we were given a ticket number. It was a long wait so finally 12:20 ish our number was called. I must say case worker was very a nice guy.
He asked for SET (O) form then asked about absence , I had 127 total and 10 days business so it was 117 personal days absence. I had prepared separate sheet so he asked me to sign it. In my first year i had 103 days absence . As Global gypsy and some other member advised i took off all the weekends so it came down to 74 days.

Well coming back to case worker . He didn't bother much about absences
Then he asked KOL pass letter, current employers letter and 3 recent payslips. He also asked if photographs are one month old which i replied saying its only taken a week back.
He did some checks , He apologised for computer being slow and as we wait he saw that we are getting anxious so he assured us that everything is fine. I noticed him checking all the visa's on passport and then typing on his PC .
After 20 minutes he kept the KOL,application form ,passport and employer letter and slipped them in his transparent folder. He returned me the payslips.
While he was checking my visa he had some kind of check list which he was ticking. he included that also in that folder.
He then handed the folder to me and said go to counter and pay the amount and come back in 2 hours. While we were waiting to pay he found out that it was my wife's birthday so he wished her and told me not to read the checklist ( which i was trying to read within the folder :-) )

I paid the money and handed over the folder to the lady which case worker had given me. up until here i was thinking that after an hour a case worker will come and asks my P60's , bank statements & 5 years employer letters . We went out and came back around 2ish and our number was called at 3:30 .. surprise surpise we got the passport with ILR stamped on it .. and a very nice lady on reception told us to check your names . She congratulated both of us and insisted that i should take my wife for a dinner as it is a double celeberation :-) .

I was wondering that none of documents were asked .. i had prepared 5 years bank statement, employer letter , all payslips , all appointement letter , all work permits and tier 1 letters

I must say Case workers in PEO Birmingham are very friendly. It is a recommended PEO for all who are looking to go in person. As many senior members recomended i also choose the same even though croydon was closer for me.

Thats it from my side .. I wish you all the success whoever is waiting for their ILR

Ciao

Congratulations ash20!

You are very lucky person.

Do you think not asking you the P60 was an over sight or it was deliberate on the part of the case workers?

All the best!

Thanks Iyanu , I was surprised too not for asking P60 . All he was interested in latest 3 payslips and employer letter . He asked me if the salary go to my bank account. Didn't bother for bank statement when i was about to give him. Iam guessing he might have all the details about my taxes. While he was checking he might have checked that as well. May be it was my lucky day :D
