Sponsorship during PSW.

Hi, If anyone could help me out if during my PSW for the 1st year am given a sponsor if it could be favorable for me to apply direct work permit or shall i wait 1 more year. Shall i apply Direct Tier 2 or Go thru Tier 1 PSW? As i already have a sponsor. Pls advice. Thank you.
