TAX CREDITS HELP FOR NASS SUPPORTED FAMILIES

Post by ksyedpk » Wed Nov 04, 2009 9:58 pm

HI
I Would really appreciate any help on my current situation I am passing through.

I was Asylum Applicant with 4 dependants (Wife & 3 children). During the our Asylum claim we adult were not allowed to take any kind of work. Nass was supporting us to meet our day to day essential living costs. We all were granted ILR on 22 september 2009 and I also started a job from 8 October 2009. I am working 20 hours a week. However My income is not a taxable income means Gross income is the Net Income.
One more thing I forgot to add that I took admission at 28 August 2009 for trade study for full year 2009 to 2010 (plumbing level 2). and that was free tuition course because I was Nass Supported. it is 3 days a week course and rest of 4 days I do 20 hours work (part-time) because I want to complete my course.

my question is that I want to Claim tax credits

can I claim both Tax Credit (CTC AND WTC)

and how I was give them my income except that Nass and is it a income that is considered while processing the claim.

and how much tax award I would qualify for both.
thanks for any additional help than these.

You need to contact the tax credit office and tell them how much you earn per week and how many hour a week you work and they will be able to tell you how much you are entitle to. If you work 16hours or more a week, you will be entitle to CTC and WTC.
