RIGHTS OF A NON E.U RESIDENCE (PARENT OF A MINOR ie 5year)

Post by omomeji » Wed Nov 04, 2009 3:06 pm

I will like to know more about my rights in u.k. At the moment i'm not permitted to work, nor have recourse to public funds. can I buy or own property, stocks or shares, go to unversity or college? Do I pay foreign fees or home fees if I have to further my education? what about running or owning a business of my own?
I have a 5 year old girl who is irish by birth, lives and schools in uk, with red passport. i have a limited right of abode which was obtained through E.U. law allowing a non e.u.famly member of an e.u citizen to live in the u.k.

Unfortunately you will be unable to work in the UK with this leave as the authorities have made it restrictive. They have even stated that illegal work would be considered as the child not having enough resource to maintain him or herself and hence the residency of the benificiary could be revoked.

Perhaps you should consider the Netherlands for example, which awards full right to employment for the parents of these children.
