Residential requirement- child registration

Post by goggy » Mon Nov 09, 2009 2:13 pm

I wonder if anyone can help me on my query regarding Residential requirements for child registration under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981.(using MN1 form)

I am intending to apply for registration of my son who was born in London in Feb 2006. My wife, myself and son all have 'Indefinate Leave to Remain' granted to us this year.

My wife was working on various projects in India over the past 4 years and my son has travelled with her and concequently stayed outside UK for more than 270 days in total in the past three years and in excess of 90 days in the previous year.

Will this factor have an impact when we apply for his registration under Section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981 using MN1 form ?
