NI Number

Its been 4 months since I landed in this country and I have been unable to apply for a NI Number yet! !

Please can someone help or atleast give me a proper phone number to call?

So far I have contacted all the Jobcentre Plus offices near my area, and all they do is take my number say they'll call back.

Nothing happens after that!

Any help would be greately appreciated...

By the way I got my "p60" with a temporary NI Number from my employer.

Keep calling the jobcentres. It took me two weeks to get through. I finally got someone helpful and explained my desperation. I had an appointment within a week. In the meantime you can continue to use your TN.

You may wish to show up at the Job Centre most convenient to you and ask them to book an appointment on the spot. Be insistent.

It's interesting that nothing seems to have improved in this area in the last 5 years!
