Currently in UK. applying HSMP - need clarification

Currently i am in UK on a workpermit from my employer.
I am about to apply for HSMP and all set.
I have a small clarification - renowned members please suggest.

1) Can i select option "Applying within UK?" and provide the details of my workpermit letter (required) and here i need to submit UK address ( i am giving my friends' adress)

2) If i select option "Applying Outside of UK" and if tomm. my hsmp got approval do i need to go back to India (my home country) for EC,stamping etc ?? or i can change job being in UK itself ?

Hope i made it clear. Please clarify. Do i need to know anything in the above scenario ??
