naturalisation.

Post by Breaker29 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 12:04 pm

Hello every one.
Just wondering if possible to apply for british citizenship without waiting for PR ?
I am non EEA national, but family member of EEA, married and living in Uk since 2002.
I heard that me and my wife are automaticly permanante resident after 5 years of continuous residence.
The information on the UKBA web site is confusing.
Thanks for a reply.

PR was acquired in 2009, on the 5th anniversary of your lawful residence in the UK as the family member of a Union citizen.

One year from that date, you are eligible to apply for naturalisation.
