When to apply for EEA4,is there a time limit ?

Hi Everyone !!

Would like to thank everybody running this forum and everybody taking interest in helping people out.you guys are amazing!!

Can you please let me know before how many days i have to apply for EEA 4. my residence permit is expiring on 10th March 2010.

Is it enough if i apply by 9th March 2010?

There is no compulsion to apply for a Permanent Residence Card.

If you are entitled to receive a Permanent Residence Card, due to your having acquired the right of Permanent Residence following 5 years lawful residence in the UK with the EEA national of whom you are a family member, by all means apply for one using form EEA4.

In Ireland, a Permanent Residence Card may be applied for six months before Permanent Residence status has been acquired. Not sure about the UK though, sorry.

I mean how many days before the expiry of the residence permit.
