Council House

Does getting a council house through locata and paying rent for it count as having recourse to public funds. My brother and father are dependant on my mother who is british citizen therefore she can bid through locata.Will getting the council house affect the ILR application of the dependants after to years

Para 6A of the Immigration Rules is in play here, and as regards Council Housing, there is not a problem your mother getting such accommodation unless the accommodation allocated is bigger because of the visa holders living with her.
