UK bank account for out of country application

Post by Tier 4 » Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:30 am

I am living Britain as a student. I am planning to apply student dependent mid of next year. Is it ok to show maintenance funds in my UK bank account to apply in British high commission in my country, because I have a plan to apply within a 1st week of my arrival in my back home. Or is there any rule that applicant should have bank account or funds in his own country.

No problem with using a UK (or any other overseas) bank account to show availability of funds.

What matters is that you have (ready) access to the money you claim to have, not where you hold it.
