What Code to select?Confusion Help!!!

Hello Experts,

I am planning to apply for a tier 2 visa as a telecomms engineer.I understand my employer has to select the closest job category
from code of practice to what i do and choose that code.In my case that code is 5242 which is Telecomms engineer the job title is fine
but the tasks given like installation of cables etc is not what i do.I do a bit more skilled in terms of development and configuring testing the
and then delivering the project and going to the site if any technical person is required.

1) Should i still choose this code?
2)Does my job title has to be one of the few given next to Telecomm engineers code 5242 or can it be more specific like DMR Specialist in my case?

If there's no nearer code then you have to choose the one you mention. The rule is that the code must be the nearest to your job. It does not have to be exact. Be aware that to meet the code of practice the employer may have to advertise the position and there will be a minimum wage level to meet.
