Application Process

Hey,

So I have been trying to get everything sorted out in regards to applying for the Fiancee visa for my partner.

I was going through the online application form located here:

However on Part 1-2 of the form it states "Date Entering" and "Date Leaving" the UK; however I am applying for her to stay under the fiancee/civil partner application - so what do I enter here?

I'm clueless as to how to go about this - all the sites seem to suggest different ways. The online form, then the biometrics, how long does it take to get an appointment?

I am trying to plan this so that we can travel back to Canada for a month, apply, wait and then travel back with her accompanying me with her new visa.

What is the best, most clear cut way to apply and what's the deal with booking appointments for biometrics?
