Does anyone think Frank Fields proposals will be adopted by a government. Apparently, his cross party committee think that only a portion of the people on work visas should be allowed to remain and a cap should be placed on the number allowed to settle. Do you think this will be taken up by a government or would this no go well for the economy ,etc -- you know, having to hire people and then after they are trained and very likely becoming an asset to the company, school, etc, told they need to start packing.
Should I be concerned by this. I've already been here four and a half years. I understand a cap on work permits per se but really, coming here and paying taxes and then told to shove off seems a bit harsh. I hope Frank Fields doesn't become a minister in the Tory government. Is this likely?
