Refused because of Income Tax Clearance Certificate (Nigeria

My second application have just been refused on the following grounds.
The first was refused because I did not include a Tax clearance certificate. Any idea what I should do?

Below is the Home office's reason for the refusal:

"Based on information received from the British diplomatic posts in Nigeria, we are not satisfied that the Income Tax learance Certificate you have provided is accurate. Therefore we cannot be satisfied that you meet the requirements of the HSMP arrangements. For this reason we have been unable to return the document"

basically the tax certificate has been confiscated as it is forged!

HO always cross-checks documents with overseas BDPs or high commissions/emabssies where there are loads of fradulent docuemnts - I am afraid Naija is one of them!!!

I got the tax clearance certificate from Tax office in lagos and sincerely I do not have cause to forge a tax clearance certificate. I work for one of the GSM companies and I earned over =N=4m in 2004 and tax was deducted from my salary by the company. I have no reason whatsoever to forge my earnings!

You said it is from Lagos state. Could you please tell me the way you presented it to HO, so that i will know how to go about advising you.

I know Lagos State now issues out Electronic Tax clearance Certificate. Did you send the Electronic Card or what.

I will know what to advise when i have the full details of the TCC.
