Switching from Tier1 to Tier1 Dependent - as In Country.

Post by anvitgadde » Thu Apr 08, 2010 5:33 pm

Hi Immigration board guru's,

Since last 1 year I been following through immigration borads for any simple to complex immigration questions. All answered very clearly and no doubt you are doing great job.

My self here in UK on Tier1 visa, my wife who was also here in UK as Tier1 visa. Now we got blessed with baby boy. We are from India.

I been working and living in UK past 4yers and may be in couple of yers I might be eligible for ILR etc.

Now I want both my wife and bay to be as my dependent itself.

Applying for Baby's status as my depending in country application - no probles all going to OK.

Now, I was reading through this URL about " In country, changing from Tier1 to Tier1 Dependent"
Wifes Tier1 due to expire by end of 2010 and my Tier1 due to expire end of 2012.
"Switching in to the dependant route"
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... dantroute/

his page explains the circumstances in which you can apply for permission to stay here as the dependant of someone who is already here in the highly skilled worker category (Tier 1 General) without having to leave the United Kingdom and apply for entry clearance (permission to come to the United Kingdom).

Could some one "GURU" COULD HELP IN THIS REGARD.
When I apply for my son's dependent visa, can I also apply for my wifes switching of Tier1 to Tier1 dependent visa. So that all of us are on the same visa and for me it is easy to manage?

It seems there is some changes in dependent maintinance funds as well.
More than 2 years in UK then we need to maintain 533 only????

Please let me know further details.
