Documents of new baby I need to submit for HSMP extension

Post by Iver » Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:16 pm

Hi All,
I am a Sri Lankan, Living in London with 2 years HSMP visa;
We will be having a new baby & the delivery of the new baby is within next few weeks time;
The time gap between the delivery of the new baby and the HSMP expiry date is 6 weeks; I have read I need to submit the documents before 4 weeks to get the HSMP extension;
I appreciate if you can apply the below please;
•What kind of documents of the new baby I need to submit for the HSMP extension
•Birth certificate ? / new passport?
•Do you think I can get above 2 documents within 2 weeks time from Uk
Thank you very much!

Yes you would need a passport and birth certificate for the baby. Not sure if you can get a passport in 2 weeks time.

It is not mandatory to submit your application 4 weeks in advance (though recommended). You could post your application even a couple of days before your visa expires. Having said that, you will not have any time to rectify if anything goes wrong.

Also, applying for your baby's visa not required unless you are planning to travel soon.
