Salary requirement

Post by dilse123 » Sat Apr 24, 2010 11:53 am

Hi,

I am currently on PSW working for Sponsorship Licensed Employer for more then one year.

So far I was working 44 weeks per year and my salary was £15,000pa.

From June I am going to work 52 weeks per year and due to this my salary will be £20,500 (working 40hours per week).

My queries :
1) Does my employer need to advertise for the job?
2) If I apply in July, my bank statements for the past six months will not show salary of £20,500 except June month.

Please help!

Thanks

since you were on psw for 6 months(for the same company), your employer can bypass resident labour test.

It doesnt matter what you have earned so far as it wont give you any points.

What you need to do is agree on a job title with your employer and make sure that you are paid accordingly (as mentioned in guidance). this will be CHECKED by HO when you come around to extend your tier 2 visa in 2 years time.

could be!!. if HO guidance says your salary should be 20,500 for 37.5 hours per week of work then obviously you dont satisfy this criteria. it is best if you check with eployer and see exactly how much you will be paid for 37.5 hours per week, atleast. it doesnt matter if u work 40 hous or so as long as you satisfy the requireent of 37.5 hours

Hi,

My job title is IT Technician and my responsibilities partly match with (3132) Senior PC Support and (5245) Computer Engineer, Installation and Maintenance.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... actice.pdf

There is big difference between the salaries of the above two jobs.

I can qualify for the Computer Engineer category.

Please advise, what should I do?

Does employer need to provide full job responsibilites on the COS?
