how to check with the help of reference

i have the reference no. but dont know whr to check....or thr is no online tracking system...may be i need to mail the hsmp team but whr...??? very confused....neone thr to help me out...
i send my docs on 29th sep 2005 when should expect the answer....

There is no online tracking system for HSMP. Now that you have got your reference number, its an indication that your payment has been deducted and your application placed in the queue.

The reference number is given to you so that if for any reason you need to contact the Home Office for details about the status of your application, you can qoute your reference number and obtain such details.

You must look at the services and standards published by the HO website to get a rough idea of how long it will take to process your application.
