EEA FAMILY MEMBER SPAIN TO IRELAND ?

Post by churri » Mon May 24, 2010 3:54 pm

Hello all..Its nice to come across the website as i find it very useful…

Meanwhile I have some doubts and would be very happy if someone can help me out…..

1) I am a non EEA national married to an EU citizen( spanish).
We live together here in Spain, I have 5 years residence card as a family member of EU citizen… we are planning to move to Ireland this summer, but we are getting a lot of conflicting information about the visa requirement to enter IRELAND FROM SPAIN…

My Question:

1)WHAT ARE THE REAL VISA REQUIREMENT FOR AN (EEA FAMILY MEMBER) TRAVELLING with EEA spouse FROM SPAIN TO IRELAND ? what documents we need to get ready?

2.) HOW DO WE APPLY FOR THE (EU FAM4 RESIDENCY CARD) ONCE IN IRELAND ?
what documents we need to get ready?

Thank you all in advance…. keep on the good work guys !!!

Is yours a "Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen"? Did your Spanish spouse previously pursue economic activity in another Member State? Or is your residence document one which is issued under Spanish domestic legislation, as the spouse of a Spanish citizen?

Once resident in Ireland in conformity with the Directive, you can apply for a "Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen" using form EU1.

Then you are entitled to join or accompany your spouse to Ireland without a visa, if in possession of your "Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen" and your passport. Your spouse must be in possession of his / her passport or National ID card.
