BHM indian consul - how to contact

Post by ukdest » Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:13 pm

Hi,

I submitted documents for my newborn kids passport more than 3 weeks back. Along with the documents i gave them the self addressed postage paid envelope for delivery. I have not received it yet which normally takes less than 2 weeks.

Did anyone could contact them over phone or email? I tried both, but no luck.. Phone rings for long and the voice mail is full. And no replies for emails..

How do i get the status without going there directly? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If you are referring to Birmingham, then they WON't pick the phone. Their voicemail box was full for the last 4 years. They are worse than their counterparts sitting in Passport offices in India.
Don't worry, you will get the passport in the stipulated time provided by them. Don't go with the "General" time scales since you are dealing with the indian embassy!

Yes. Birmingham. Today, I went there directly. The delivery date on the receipt is 4th of June. So they say, if passport is not with us means it is sent by post. If you have not received it, it will come, wait for somemore time
I said it is next day special delivery. They they say, ok , then it will come back to us sometime, we will call you then

Sadly, you cannot complain anywhere. They never reply to your emails (not even sure if they check them). You might want to call the Indian consulate in London and they do pick your call. However, they might simply say that Birmingham *&*^%&* have your details and they don't have a clue.

If you don't receive it before the end of this month, re-apply for another one mate. That's the best you can do ... thanks to the Indian embassy.

For the sin of the dynasty politics ........

I had a bitter experience with these people as well. They are the most irresponsible and unprofessional people on the earth. By doing their job they act like they are doing some charity to us. Even if you complain it falls in deaf ears. Only thing one can do is to pray to God to give them some sense (and by the way even God is helpless in their case) :x
