Re: WP EC has been deferred until enquiries are complete

Dear friends,

Please I need help from people who got experience in obtaining EC for workpermit from India.
I lived in the UK for 3 years on workpermit and it was expired in October’2005

The issue is I finished my first job with the employer, who got the work permit in 2002, in Feb’2004 and got another job in 30 days. But when my second employer had applied for the workpermit, it was refused due to lack of salary & job advertisement issues and I could not do that job.

But after 10 days, I got a letter from home office based on the second employers workpermit refusals that I can stay in the UK until October’2005 based on my first work permit that had validity until October’2005.

So I stayed in the country until October.
But before my visa was expired, I got another job offer and the 3rd employer applied for the workpermit.
It took long time. So I didn’t want to over stay and left the country.
After coming to India, I was told the workpermit was approved and I applied for the entry clearance 10 days ago with the WP approval in India. No reply at all until now

I had sent an email to the visa section. They replied saying that “application has been deferred until enquiries are complete “

I really can’t understand what kind of enquiries.
My employer is waiting for me to start the job.
Please could some one help me with this ….
