Tier 2 to Tier 1 switch - Dependant Visa status

Post by jay82p » Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:21 pm

Hi,
I am currently on tier 2 visa and have applied for tier 1 general from inside UK. My wife is with me on a tier 2 dependent visa. I need to know if my wife's visa will become invalid when my tier 1 visa is granted.
Can she apply in-country as well ? Or will she have to go outside UK and apply?

Many Thanks
Jay

Yes, your wife also should switch to tier 1 dependant. I read somewhere in this forum that you will have 28 days to switch. She can apply in-country.
