criminal proceedings while waiting for visa.

Post by kiran123 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 10:54 pm

hi, i would be grateful if i could get some advice,

my auntie in pakistan has won her appeal for family visit and is awaiting islamabad to issue visa,

does anyone know how long it takes?

also most importantly while she is waiting her ex husband has had her arrested for blackmail and forgery now she is on bail in pakistan.

will the visa still be issued in the current situation that she is party to a criminal investigation by the courts.

will this effect her visa, on entry to uk will she have to declare to clearence officer that she has proceedings in pakistan and could this effect any applications made for leave to remain in the uk.

if she makes it to uk, will her visa be void in any way as there is a chance the stupid women may be convicted.
