Student VISA to Dependent visa conversion

Hi,

I am on Tier 2 ICT Visa and my wife is in Student Tier IV Visa. She also has a valid ICT Dependent VISA which is 2 months more than the Tier 4 VISA. Can she stay back in UK on dependent visa once her student visa expires?

Currently she is on Tier 4 status. We are planning for a Schengen country trip for 4 days. After the trip can she enter UK on dependent VISA instead of on a student status?
