Dependent Query - Please Clarify

Currently i am in UK on tier 1 general(HSMP), Still i do not have any job.
I am planning to apply dependent visas for my wife and kid.

My queries are:

1. Shall i maintain funds 2800+1600+1600 in my wife account as fixed deposit (or) it should be maintain only in my(main applicant)bank account?

2. As already i am in UK, May i apply for dependent visas with out having job/offer?

Seniors please guide me, it will be highly appreciated.

FIXED DEPOST A/C OR current a/c both are accepted

for fixed deposit u need again letter from bank
