Previous Earning Calculation

Hi,
I have made my Tier1 application on 26-Aug-2010. I am yet to send my documents. I need clarity on the previous earning period.
Is the 15 month period from 26-May-2009 to 25-Aug-2010? Or is it 1-May-2009 to 31-Jul-2010.

If 26-May-2009 to 25-Aug-2010 is the correct one, can I have the salary paid on 31-May-2009 and 15-may-2010 ( as it falls within 12 months , 30-may-2009 to 29-may-2010)
