request for help

I am a single 31yr old Zimbabwean male. I came to the UK in 1998 as a student. In 2001 my application to extend my student visa was turned down by the home office. I apealed thier decision at a tribunal which i lost. in 2004 i was arrested and served 1mth i prison. Since my release, I have been required to report at the border agency every week. I have tried to do this am much as possible but beacause i am working, am not always able to do so.
My whole family has now settled here all having granted British citizenship. Due to my age, i am not able to just go onto thier status.

I am not sure what i can do so i am open to any idea

You could apply for Discretionary Leave To Remain

thanks for ur reply. any idea how i do this and what are the costs.have heard about it but no one seems to be sure who to go about making a application
